Breakfast Choices

What do I eat for breakfast?

This is a common question that is asked by my clients. Many of you are looking to make some healthy changes to your diet. You’ve probably heard it all before and there’s science to prove it. At some point, when it clicks that you should set aside time to eat well in the morning, you’ll see what a difference it makes to your intake all day. There are many successful options out there, but no one option works for everyone.  First rule of thought is Avoid Processed Foods! You know your body and what foods you digest the best. Make the choice based on what you know to be true for you.

Breakfast is a common characteristic of people who maintain their weight. The National Weight Control Registry states, “People who eat breakfast everyday have lower rates of abdominal obesity, hypertension, lower cholesterol and smaller waist circumference.”  Starting your day out with a good breakfast choice sets the tone for the day. I hope that you find these ideas helpful and maybe use one of these choices for your weekly goals.

Greek Yogurt with fruit (blueberries, strawberries, ect)
